Welcome to The American Experiment

This has been said by who knows how many young people, but “I finally took the leap and started my own blog.”  I welcome your opinions, compliments, and criticisms equally.

The idea behind the title “The American Experiment” grew mostly from my love of this country and the fact that, despite its flaws and dark moments in history, America continues to be the world’s shining example of individual liberty, justice for all, and economic prosperity.  I will not hide my bias.  I am a conservative through and through, but I am always open minded and am not afraid to change my opinion if I feel the facts compel me.

I will end this first post with a quote, as fledgling bloggers are wont to do, that I feel exemplifies the concept of the American Experiment.

“The greatness of America lies not in being more enlightened than any other nation, but rather in her ability to repair her faults.”

-Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America

I do not own the rights to the title “The American Experiment”
